Forty two people participated in a webinar and workshop bought together by the Port Pirie Local Drug Action Team, Australian Drug Foundation, Wellbeing SA and Planet Youth Iceland. Attendees looked in depth at the findings of a survey conducted by Planet Youth where year 10 students had confidentially shared their experiences about family life, school, peers, and their leisure time.

Participants then discussed what we as a community, working together, can do to address the findings, taking an early intervention approach to build protective factors in our young people. Participants were invited to continue to work together to develop a Community Action Plan with the focus on listening to young people and helping make Port Pirie a safe and supportive place to grow up in.

The Port Pirie Local Drug Action Team meets monthly on 3^rd Tuesday of each month at Uniting Country SA.
