Malu Wipu Cookout

During the school holidays Geoffrey, the father of one of our staff members helped to cook Malu Wipu (kangaroo tail) for everyone at the Indulkana Youth Shed.

Our two youth support workers, Annita and Joanne showed visiting staff how to char and scrape the hair off the tails before wrapping them in alfoil so Geoffrey could put them in the fire along with the wrapped vegetables. It was a really hot day, but all the kids came to watch and played in the area until the feed of malu, potato and sweet potato was ready. The food was gone very quickly!
