It's Men's Health Week (13-19 June) and an opportunity to take time to reflect on the health challenges facing the men in our lives.
Men are more likely to suffer from lifestyle-related health conditions than women of the same age. And sadly, three-quarters of those who died by suicide in 2020 were men.
This Men's Health Week we are asking you to think of the men in your life - family members, friends, colleagues, teammates - and reach out to them and ask if they are OK. Your conversation could change their life.
Did you know that Uniting Country SA has a community mental health program called Country Wellness Connections (CWC)?
CWC is funded by Country SA PHN which provides psychosocial support to community members who have mental health challenges that impact everyday life.
CWC supports individuals on their mental health recovery journey, assisting to identify individual recovery goals, build personal capacity, and to improve social connections and wellbeing.
