Emergency Financial Assistance

Uniting Country SA's Emergency Financial Assistance provides people in crisis with emergency support. Including food, temporary transport and other practical assistance. Once the immediate financial crisis is addressed, referrals are facilitated to connect the person with additional and ongoing support.

We provide emergency food, transport and other practical assistance to address the immediate crisis plus provide links to services for additional and ongoing support. Donation - Northern Yorke Peninsula Quilters

A big thank you to the Northern Yorke Peninsula Quilters for their kind quilt donation to the clients of our Domestic & Family Violence services across regional SA. The quilters came from Moonta, Wallaroo, Kadina and surrounds.
Sorry Day 2023

Today is National Sorry Day, which acknowledges the wrongful treatment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people under Government policy, which came to be known as the stolen generations, which removed children and young people from their families and communities. This occasion represents an opportunity for all Australians to reflect on past government practices and to understand the ongoing trauma that continues to affect the oldest, continuous living culture on our planet.
The Haven workshops

The Haven Port Pirie is currently running a series of Self Care Workshops. If you are interested in attending the next one or a gardening or cooking group then head over to their page. The Haven is a free and confidential service providing information and referrals to women in Port Pirie. The Haven is located at the Port Pirie Community Centre and made possible by Women's Information Service.

Planet Youth Program

Uniting Country SA is partnering with Planet Youth and the Alcohol and Drug Foundation to improve the well-being and reducing rates of alcohol and other drug use among young people in Port Pirie.
The Haven - Port Pirie

The Haven is a free and confidential service providing information and referrals to women in Port Pirie. The Haven is located at the Port Pirie Community Centre 28 Symonds Street, Risdon Park. This service is funded by the Women's Information Service
Healthy Relationships

This program is based in Port Augusta to encourage and grow healthy and respectful relationships in the community funded by The National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA).

Service to Aboriginal Youth (STAY)

The Service to Aboriginal Youth (STAY) program assists young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people between the ages 10 and 19 access services and find the guidance they need to achieve their goals and strengthen their cultural and community connections
Mental Health Support

Uniting Country SA's Mental Health Support assists people and communities in regional South Australia living with depression, anxiety and more.
Itchy Emu

Uniting Country SA's Itchy Emu program is helping tackle the age old problem of Head Lice. The Itchy Emu program available as a free, non-judgmental treatment and education aimed at giving children, parents and families the information to treat their own hair.
Strengthening Separated Families

Uniting Country SA's Strengthening Separated Families (SSF) program provides support to individuals and families with children and adolescents to navigate their way through various separation circumstances. Support is available through individual case management, counselling and group work to help people focus on the needs of their children during this time and manage separation in a healthy way.
Community FoodHub

Uniting Country SA's Community FoodHub provides community members with access to low cost nutritious food in a bid to improve food security in the region. This service is only available in Port Pirie

The Escaping Violence Payment is available to anyone experiencing violence from their partners. If you are looking to leave a violent partner, or have recently left and you are struggling with the finances to live your life in safety, you could be eligible for support.
