We accept a wide variety of donations to help country people in need. This includes:
Such as clothing and knitwear, blankets, sleeping bags, homewares (including manchester), kid’s toys, books, CDs and DVDs, furniture and more.
Such as packed, tinned and non-perishable food.
To donate items, simply visit your local Uniting Country SA office or use one of the Goods@Gertrude bins located in Port Pirie and surrounding areas.
Donations such as blankets and sleeping bags are provided to people experiencing homelessness. Other goods are sold through our op shop, Goods@Gertrude, or distributed to families facing difficult times.
The food we collect is provided in emergency packs, or sold at great discount through the Port Pirie Foodhub, and our Port Pirie and Peterborough food co-ops.
