Uniting Country SA believes that all children should have the opportunity to be raised in a safe and loving home. When children are unable to stay with their birth families our foster carers step in to provide safety, stability and loving care.
UCSA’s foster care service operates in Clare, Kadina, Port Augusta, Port Pirie, and surrounding regions. Foster care is when a child who is unable to live with their birth family, lives with another family who is able to provide them with all the care and support they need by allowing them to live in a safe, secure and nurturing home. This care can range from an overnight stay, through to longer term. While it is preferable for children to return to their families, this is not always possible. So some children will need foster care until they turn 18 years old.
Uniting Country SA’s foster carers come from all kinds of backgrounds; we welcome all people regardless of culture, language, ethnicity, sexuality, gender or religion. Our carers are everyday people who put their hand up to make a difference in a child’s life. You don’t have to be a superhero, you just have to care.
Uniting Country SA provides Long-Term, Respite, Emergency, and Short Term Foster Care. Our Foster Care team also has specialist
foster carers for children with living with disabilities.
